Last Breath of Beauty

Last Breath of Beauty is a visual meditation on the transient nature of life and beauty. The series follows a figure lying in a bed of roses, once vibrant, now slowly decaying. In the second image, the transformation is stark: the face has become a skull, a powerful symbol of memento mori. The flowers that once signified love and vitality now surround a form surrendering to time.

This work invites viewers to reflect on the inevitability of death, but also the silent sorrow of watching oneself fade. Rooted in both philosophical thought and psychological states, the imagery mirrors depressive episodes, where the body remains, but the self feels distant, withering. The duality of beauty and decay speaks to how fragile and fleeting life is, how easily it slips through our fingers while still appearing delicate on the surface.

Last Breath of Beauty doesn’t just ask you to witness mortality, it asks you to feel it.
